About the Presenter
Joseph (J.J.) Ferrito, Psy.D

Dr. Joseph (J.J.) Ferrito is a licensed psychologist and certified school psychologist in New Jersey. Dr. Ferrito earned his Doctorate from Rutgers University’s Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology, completed an APA Accredited Pre-Doctoral Internship in Clinical Psychology at Sharp Mesa Vista Hospital in San Diego California, and completed his Postdoctoral Fellowship in Forensic Psychology at Hackensack University Medical Center in New Jersey.
Therapeutically, Dr. Ferrito specializes in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). He has worked extensively with children and families exposed to trauma and adverse events. This work has taken place in a variety of settings from schools to outpatient programs and hospitals. Dr. Ferrito’s research focuses on sustainable methods for fostering positive youth development and resilience.
