Dr. Antoine Hickman

Dr. Antoine Hickman has committed his career to the field of education as a “voice for the voiceless.” With more than 25 years of experience in public education and administration, he has been on the front-line of advocacy and implementation of positive strategies for children and adults. Throughout his extensive career, he has served in schools as a Special Education Teacher, School Counselor, and Principal. He has been a successful executive-level leader in Virginia and Florida for more than 15 years combined. From 2015 through 2019, Dr. Hickman served as the Executive Director for Exceptional Student Learning Support for Broward County Public Schools. Since 2019 he has served as the Chief of Student Support Initiatives & Recovery for Broward County Public Schools, the sixth largest school district in the U.S.
As the Chief of Student Support Initiatives and Recovery, his responsibilities include overseeing seven departments and approximately 1000 employees to equitably deliver prevention, intervention, and assistance to address the mental, physical, and social-emotional health and personal development for all students.
Dr. Hickman has also worked with various public and private entities providing reasoned approaches, program development, consultation, and crisis response within the academic environment to address the behavioral and mental health needs of students.

Dr. Bridget Taylor

Dr. Bridget A. Taylor is co-founder and CEO of Alpine Learning Group and is Senior Clinical Advisor for Rethink. Dr. Taylor has specialized in the education of children with Autism for over 30 years. She holds a Doctor of Psychology from Rutgers University, and received her Master’s degree in Early Childhood Special Education from Columbia University. She is a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst and a Licensed Psychologist. She has served are president of the Behavior Analyst Certification Board and Associate Editor of the Journal of Applied Behavior Analysis. She currently serves on several editorial boards, the SEAB board, and the Autism Advisory Group for the Cambridge Center for Behavioral Studies. Active in the Autism research community, Dr. Taylor has published numerous peer-reviewed research articles and book chapters, on innovative practices to improve the lives of individuals with autism. Dr. Taylor was recently recognized by the Association for Applied Behavior Analysis International for her outstanding contributions and was given ABAI’s Fellow designation.

Dr. Daniel Gulchak

Dr. Daniel Gulchak, a co-founder of KOI Education, believes all students can succeed when adults have the right resources. Prior experience includes being a special education teacher, university faculty, and board member of several special education associations. He leads research in curriculum design, behavior interventions, and operations at KOI Education, and is the co-author of four books on Positive Behavior Support, numerous research articles, and several magazine essays. To help educators support their students during/after the pandemic, his company launched On-Demand Professional Learning courses at https://www.koi-education.com/on-demand. Daniel earned his Ph.D. from Arizona State University in Emotional and Behavioral Disorders.

Dr. Christina Whalen

Dr. Christina Whalen is the Director of Research for RethinkEd and is a certified behavior analyst specializing in special education and social-emotional learning. She is the author of the book Real Life, Real Progress for Children with Autism Spectrum Disorders: Strategies for Successful Generalization in Natural Environments, has several peer-reviewed publications, and has presented at numerous conferences in behavior analysis, education, and psychology.
