About The Speaker

Lisa Fillipovich, Ed.D., NCSP
RethinkEd Director of MTSS and Behavior Content
Dr. Fillipovich is the Director of MTSS and Behavior Content for Rethink. She has almost 20 years of experience working in public education, spending the first 10 years of her career as a School Psychologist before becoming a district-level administrator. As an administrator, she supported the special education and 504 eligibility processes for a large school district in Virginia and then transitioned to supporting district-wide implementation of Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) within the framework of a Multi-Tiered System of Supports. Dr. Fillipovich has a strong interest in furthering inclusive and equitable teaching and learning practices and policies within public education. She has presented on Equitable Learning and Discipline Practices, as well as Implementing a Multi-Tiered System of Supports, at the International Conference on Positive Behavior Support as well as at the state level for Virginia Tiered Systems of Supports.
Dr. Fillipovich earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Virginia Tech, her Masters and Education Specialist degrees from Radford University, and her doctorate in organizational leadership from Argosy University. She currently resides in Virginia where she continues to support her local public education systems.
